Our Story

Lincoln Ave Cat & Dog Hospital began in 1984 as a small, feline-only clinic on Lincoln Ave, founded on a simple belief: that pets deserve expert care delivered with genuine warmth.

For more than 40 years, the practice has grown alongside the Fairlawn community while staying proudly independent and family-owned. In 2001, under the leadership of Dr. Hesham El-Akbawy, the hospital expanded its surgical and diagnostic capabilities. In 2023, it formally became Lincoln Ave Cat & Dog Hospital, welcoming canine companions and licensed exotic pet care to serve even more Bergen County families.

Through every chapter, one thing has never changed: we answer to pets and their owners, never to a corporate chain.
